About the game
Chess Online Multiplayer is a full game of chess with one aim: trap the other side's king so it cannot escape. You can queue up against other players, face the computer, or hand the screen to a friend sitting next to you.
Pick a time mode from unlimited to bullet, blitz, rapid or classic, and set the computer anywhere from beginner to world champion. Stuck on a move? Ask for a hint or take it back. Afterward, the analysis shows where you slipped and what was better, and you can replay those moments. Rating and stats keep count of how you are doing.
How to play
- Pawns move forward and capture diagonally. Knights jump in an L shape. Every other piece follows its own movement rule.
- Castling works only if the king and rook have not moved, nothing stands between them, and the king crosses no attacked square.
- En passant lets a pawn capture an enemy pawn that just advanced two squares, but only on the very next move.
- A game is drawn by stalemate, threefold repetition, 50 moves with no capture or pawn move, too little material, or if both players agree.
