Privacy at Poki
Playing free browser-based games on Poki needs no account. Below you'll find which data the site handles, which data stays with the embedded games, and what choices are open to you.
How the site itself works
The site has no login, no registration, no comment section and no contact form. You load a page, select a game and begin playing. Your name, email, phone number and date of birth are never requested, and no profile of you is created.
Server logs
When a page is requested, our server writes ordinary technical entries, as the majority of websites do. These typically contain the IP address, the browser and device type, the page requested and the time. We retain them for a set period and use them solely so the site stays operational and to detect abuse or attacks. They are not used to track which games you play.
Embedded games
Games on Poki are supplied by independent developers and by a game distribution partner. Each game runs in its own frame on the page. That frame is run by the developer or partner, not by us, and it may display ads and store cookies or similar data in your browser under its own privacy policy. This can cover saving settings, counting ad views or capping how often an ad is shown. We have no control over what happens inside those frames, so if you want the details, check the policy shown by the game or ad.
What we don't do
We never sell data. We don't pass personal data to advertisers ourselves, since we don't gather it at all. There is no newsletter and no marketing list.
Children
Many of our players are schoolchildren, so this point matters. We don't knowingly gather personal data from anyone, children included. If you think a child has emailed personal details to us, contact us and we will delete whatever we can.
Removing cookies in your browser
Cookies and similar storage placed inside game frames remain in your browser until they expire or you delete them. To remove them:
- Chrome on Android: Menu, Settings, Privacy and security, Delete browsing data, tick Cookies and site data, then Delete.
- Chrome on desktop: Menu, Settings, Privacy and security, Delete browsing data, choose a time range, tick Cookies and other site data, then Delete data.
- Safari on iPhone: Settings, Safari, Clear History and Website Data.
- Firefox: Menu, Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data, Clear Data.
Deleting cookies can reset settings in some games, for example sound or saved progress kept in that game's own storage.
